Instructions for Authors of Accepted Full Papers

If your full paper was already accepted to MARESEC 2025 before the conference, please submit the camera-ready version of the paper until June 30, 2025. For preparing your paper, follow the Camera-Ready Instructions below.

Papers might be assigned a shepherd, who will work with the authors to make sure the reviewer’s comments will be addressed before submitting the camera ready paper.

Submit your camera ready paper by updating the PDF file in your Easychair submission: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=maresec2025

Authors of high-quality papers will be invited to submit an extended version of the full paper for publication in the peer reviewed journal Transactions on Maritime Science (ToMS).

Camera-Ready Instructions

Papers must have a length of four to six pages in total, including references and appendix. Papers must be written in English using the IEEE conference proceeding templates (10-point font) for LaTeX or Microsoft Word (A4) available at: https://www.ieee.org/conferences/publishing/templates.html

We strongly recommend using the LaTeX template. If you are not familiar with LaTeX, please consider using Overleaf, which makes creating LaTeX documents easy. You can find the IEEE conference proceedings template on Overleaf here: https://www.overleaf.com/latex/templates/ieee-conference-template/grfzhhncsfqn

Please do not add any page numbering, header or footer, including copyright notices. Please note that the top margin is at least 0.75in or 1.9cm, respectively, whereas the bottom margin is at least 1.0in or 2.54cm, respectively. This space is required to stamp the conference name and DOI later (done by us).

Please make sure that all fonts are embedded in the PDF. Non-embedded fonts sometimes occur when you include vector images which do not themselves embed their fonts. You can find information on how to properly embed fonts here: https://www.karlrupp.net/2016/01/embed-all-fonts-in-pdfs-latex-pdflatex/

Notes for users of the word template:

  • Remove the incomplete copyright notice in the footer
  • Move the text box for funding grants, if used, upwards above the footer into the first column on the first page
  • Manually adjust the top margin on the first page to 1.9cm.

If you have any questions on creating and/or submitting your camera-ready paper, please do not hesitate to contact the publication chair:
